Album Photographs

So this morning I decided to photograph my progress in my PL album.  I started Project Life in May and decided to highlight the year and part of last year (2012) to "catch up" & then I will resume with weekly pages.  I am almost there...I am currently caught up to June 2013!  Here are some photos, enjoy :)

Proud Moment!

Today I had a proud moment.  Someone so graciously posted in a Facebook group that Becky Higgins Project Life was 50% off...enter shopping super high for me. Ha.   I looked at each item & even put three or four things in my cart, clicked checkout and entered the coupon code.  Sure was a great deal...but I resisted the pay now button.  I am so proud.  I currently have five packages coming to my door, I think I am good :)

Do you have a PL hoarding problem to?  Now back to that storage thing...

Notebook Paper Card

I was needing some more journaling space in my current PL page & made this cute little 3x4 card, looks just like a piece of notebook paper!  Just download & print away!  Can't wait to get mine embellished :)

I am a PL HOARDER.

I have all of my stuff on a little card table in boxes, sterlite containers and baggies...

Oh my...need to figure my storage situation now.  What do you do for storage of your craft/scrapbook supplies?  I need help, mine are currently on a square card table in baskets and sterilite containers...ha!!  I am so terrible.


Time to get scrappin', need to get myself caught up instead of searching Pinterest for storage solutions...

Planning...more planning

If you're like me, you are a "list maker".  I make lists for EVERY little thing.  Even when cleaning my house...sad, right?

I have been watching YouTube videos on how to organize and plan out my project life album, really interesting stuff.  I had no idea some people were as picky as me.  Comforting though :)  So anywho...upon watching tons of them, I have seen many different versions of PL Planner Printables.

Naturally I wanted one too, so I made one up this morning with my favorite color, of course.  It has a spot for the week #, the date, layout for cards (not exact sizes, but good enough to label each) and some note space.  I have printed out a few and am ready to plan out my next few pages & get to scrappin'.

Home Made Holiday Gifts

I have to say that I am a Pinterest addict.  I am there everyday pinning and pinning...ugh.

We are on a tight budget being a military family (most people are on one these days though...) so we improvised Christmas gifts & decided to make them!  Salt dough is amazing, now the grands have something to last forever from Mattix! :)

This is a page I did for our fall trip to the Paradise Pumpkin Patch last year.  Mattix had a blast seeing all the animals and riding the hayrack ride!  If we're still here, we'll go again this fall.

Starting here...

I have recently started on Project Life.  It is a great way to scrapbook if you're busy, I used to do the huge 12x12 layout type scrapbooking awhile ago.  After having my son I found it was too time consuming and was getting really expensive.  Needless to say, I sold most of my supplies - including my storage :/ .  Dumb move.

I found out about Project Life on Facebook though a friend, watched the video and ordered a kit right away!  I am currently trying to do pages that highlight some of the big events in our lives over the last year, writing down our weekly fun in a planner so I won't forget them when it comes time to work on the present day.   It is very helpful to make notes...

I have joined a few groups on FB also, cardswap groups & buy, sell/trade groups...totally addicted.  I have also joined a few monthly subscription kits online...every month they send you a PL kit - pretty amazing stuff!

On this blog I plan to post my album pages as I go, catching up to the present day first, I hope you enjoy & maybe just maybe it'll inspire you to get going on your own album!!  I am so happy to be scrapping again :)
